Walk Downtown

Buzz Buzz Bee Club! Last Thursday we went to 3 different locations downtown! The Shaw Conference Center, The Hotel MacDonald and MacEwan University in that order.

Here is the single hive that is located at the Shaw Conference Center

Patty can be seen here explaining to the Bee Club Members about the hive and the flowers around the hive.

Patty has taken out a frame to allow the members and their parents to get a closer look.

Seems like a worker bee fell off the frame and decided to say "Hello!" to some of the Bee Club Members.

Patty got stung but it didn't get into her skin! So we got a chance to see a stinger up close!

There was a beautiful view from where the hives were. I couldn't resist taking a photo!

Some Bee Club Members found a little bee collecting some nectar.

On the flowers we also found a couple of Stink Bugs!

Unfortunatly few of the flowers were actually blooming thus leaving a very green garden. Still a great view though 😉

Here is another group photo! Feel free to save this image yourself!

Next up we got The Hotel Macdonald. The bee hives were just behind this gazebo (Someone's gotta change the light bulbs).

Not only do they have bee hives they also have bee hotels! (which makes sense) Bee hotels are for the solitary bees that live in Edmonton.

It was VERY hot out. Thankfully the well kept grass at the Hotel MacDonald helped keep us cool. 😂

While talking with the keeper of the hives, a bunny decided to visit us and listen in as well. Quite adorable.

Here is another image showing the bee hotel at MacEwan University. Thank you Dustin for taking the selfie 😜

Finally we ended our tour at the flow hives located at MacEwan University.

Buzz Buzz everyone! See ya'll next week!
